Motorhome Satellite Television

A motorhome television can enhance your traveling and camping experience. Jacques Towbar Services can supply and fit satellite systems to suit everyone’s needs, no matter what make of vehicle, wherever you live and whatever your holiday destination in the UK, Europe and beyond. Most motorhome televisions will plug into 12v or 12v / 230v sockets.

Technological advances in satellite broadcasting, Freeview and digital hard drive recording means motorhome and caravan owners can watch the same television programmes on tour you can get at home without any diminution of picture and sound quality.

Jacques Towbar Services can supply and fit an omni-directional TV aerial a relatively cheap and effective way of viewing TV but to receive digital programmes you will need a set-top box. Outside of the UK and in more remote areas aerial signals are weak or non-existent and you will need a satellite dish and receiver. With a Freesat disc and set-top box the programme options are huge, but should you want to receive Sky and other payment channels then you will need the relevant set top box and viewing card.

Motorhome and caravan owners who don’t want Sky or UK freeview channels while traveling abroad and are happy to receive programmes available in the country they are visiting, then a television with a built in satellite receiver will do you fine.

Automatic Satellite TV Systems

Automatic systems seek and lock on to a satellite without user intervention. With the turn of a switch they connect with the satellite. There are a wide range of makes and choice. Sat-Domes: Hugely popular with a compact and an aesthetically pleasing appearance, being robust, reliable and easy to operate offering a wide of channels wherever you are in the UK and Europe. Equally easy to re-programme and update should satellite frequencies change.

Manual Satellite Systems

Manual Systems are less costly than automatic systems. Fixed to a tripod and mounted away from the motorhome they are more awkward to set-up as you will need to move the satellite around to get your signal. But with practice you can up-and-running with a good picture in a few minutes. They can be mounted on the roof of your motorhome, if you prefer.

Crank-Up Satellite System

Crank Up systems are compact, streamlined and inconspicuous and are mounted on the roof of the motorhome, Alignment is straightforward and done from inside the vehicle using a crank-up handle and a direction unit which rotates the satellite dish and locks on to your channels and programmes of choice.

Internet Satellite Systems

Satellite Internet gives guaranteed internet connection together with hundreds of TV and radio programmes. Connection is fast and unproblematic as with the flick of a switch the Internet system automatically searches the programmed satellite and will lock onto either a TV satellite or a satellite with Internet connectivity. More expensive than other sytems but you get more for your money.

Whatever your needs, a manual, internet or a fully automated directional receiver, Jacques Towbar Services can advise on options and fit a satellite dish and receiver at a very competitive price. For more information contact Steven or Gemma.
