Van Suspension upgrades
- Decreased driving stability
- Swaying of the trailer
- Abnormal wear of tyres, shock absorbers, springs and steering system
- Problems with rough road surfaces
- On front-wheel drive Van, traction can be lost
Progressive Helper Spring
MAD Helper springs are progressively wound steel coil springs fitted in conjunction with the original suspension. MAD Progressive Springs have little or no effect while the vehicle is unladen. As the load imposed on the suspension increases, the springs quickly become stiffer, reducing the amount of “sag,” improving the ride height, handling and safety of the laden or towing vehicle. Where space or the design do not permit an additional spring, a complete replacement main-spring is fitted with the same improved characteristics.
Air Spring Assister
MAD Air Helper kits consist of air-bags which can be fitted either between the axle and the chassis or where space permits inserted inside the original coil-spring. Inflation is carried out either from a garage tyre-inflator or portable compressor via a fill-valve. Alternatively an on-board compressor can be fitted and operated from the driver’s seat to increase or decrease pressure to obtain the most comfortable and best ride height dependant on the load in the vehicle.
Air Spring
This is the incomparable secret of MAD Auxiliary Springs. No steel springs, only two air bellows installed with existing springs ensure that the car can be adjusted to meet the driver’s needs – hard or soft spring action, high or low car -, MAD Level Adjustment makes it happen.
Increased comfort through optimum auxiliary air suspension. This can be operated easily from the dashboard while driving or en route at a petrol station.
Besides the complete standard package, MAD also develops customised kits for fleets that regularly carry alternating loads.
Benefits:
- Original springs remain active
- Quick installation, without construction work
- Easy to operate
- Gives a “warning signal” if the pressure is too low
- Variable setting depending on load
- Production in accordance with ISO and TÜV requirements
